An Easter Birthday Party

Texas's birthday landed on Easter this year. How lucky that GramZ and Auntee DeeDee were in town for both events! Here are some pictures of our big Easter gala + Texas fest.

Visitors from the East

GramZ and DeeDee Danielle came to San Diego for Tex's 2nd birthday. Even though we missed seeing PawZ, we all had a great time. Texas spent Friday with GramZ and Danielle. They went to his favorite story time at the library. (DeeDee is a librarian, so she knows her way around a book!) We made fresh pasta and spaghetti sauce, grilled some shrimp, and ate lots and lots of candy!

On Saturday Texas got his haircut. Then we went to a Passover Seder. On Sunday, we had a double celebration of Easter and Tex's birthday. It was a great weekend and we were sad to see everyone go on Monday night.

The Great Easter Egg Hunt of 2010!

Between Easter, Passover, Tex's birthday, and the visit from GramZ and DeeDee, it felt like one party after another. On Sunday morning, we hosted an Easter egg hunt in our backyard. Sofia, Hannah, and Jacob were all there. See the video below. We hope you can keep up!

A super week in Sayville!

Texas spent a week with GramZ and PawZ in Sayville, New York. He went to the park with Dodo Jon and Doda Jess, played with his cousin Hazard, met his newest cousin Brody, visited Auntie DD Danielle at the library, played in the backyard with Chloe, bought new sandles with GramZ, touched all the flowers in Sayville with PawZ, and ate a delicious dinner at Friendly's. Overall, it was a great trip!

Texas also went into New York City for two days with Mommy and Daddy. The highlights were dinner with his friends Joey, Benjamin, and Little Anthony, and riding on the ferris wheel at Toys R Us in Times Square. He also enjoyed meeting Mommy's friends at work. Here's a short video!

Baby got a new pair of shoes

While we were in Sayville, GramZ took Texas to the StrideRite shop to get his first pair of shoes. He was sized and fitted by the same man who sold Matt and Jon their shoes back in the day. Here's a short video of Texas getting his first shoes.

Fun in NY

Texas spent Valentine's day in New York with GramZ, PawZ, Auntie Danielle, Chloe, Dodo Jon, and Doda Jess. The air was cold but the sky was blue all week long. GramZ made sure Texas was always bundled up in snow suits, winter jackets, fuzzy hats, and soft mittens. The best part was celebrating my cousin Hazard's birthday (see video below) and playing with him one afternoon. Here are some pictures of our good times from that weekend.
