Well, it's been a while since I updated the blog with news of our house. We're almost fully moved in... almost.
We're in the kitchen, laundry room, master bedroom, master bath, and master closet. It was a lot of work to move our stuff back in, but we did it quickly. It's nice to reap the rewards of our 6-month disturbance!
However, we're not done yet. What's left?
Painting. Lots of painting. They've completed most of the interior, but not everything. Painting is a slow process. The exterior is painfully slow.
Hardware. Our doors and windows don't have handles. Kind of annoying.
AV system. It's 50% done. We moved the living room tv into the new sun room. Matt has all sorts of fancy gadgets connected to it. The piece de resistance is the universal remove. Don't ask how much it cost - that's our kid's college tuition right there. But, it's pretty cool. (Although I don't know how to use it.) We have lots of fancy speakers in the sun room, bedroom, and backyard! But they're not done hooking everything up and my laundry room looks like a server room.
The biggest projects now are the kids' rooms. Tex's hard wood floor is being redone and he's getting new windows. Both of those projects are delayed at this point. After they're complete, we can install a chair rail and pain t the room. We will be lucky if it is done prior to the baby's arrival.
And the baby's room... needs a new floor. The roof leaked and caused damage to parts of the wood floor. We just ordered the wood and that alone takes a week (or more) to arrive. It's giving me anxiety.
