It was all out turkey mania at the Goodman house on Thanksgiving day. Seventeen friends and family came for the feast, the wine, and the good cheer. On one side of the table lay a turkey, twenty-three pounds and piping hot. On the other side of the table sat the ham, sweet and crispy on the outside, but a fighting machine on the inside. Surrounding them was a veritable pantheon of culinary delights: Grandma Star's famous sweet potato casserole, Aunt Michelle's asparagus carpaccio, and Mommy's acorn corn bread. Don't even get me started on the desserts.
The only question on everybody's mind: who was going to eat all this food?

That turkey is looking mighty fine around now when I wish we had some leftovers!
